Are you someone who enjoys helping others understand and use technology? If so, volunteer to provide assistance to library patrons with their personal electronic devices. Volunteers work one-on-one (by appointment) to support the following:
- Using common office apps such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Printing and scanning;
- Adding attachments to emails; and
- Creating free accounts on Google, social media, and employment websites
If you can teach a beginner those tasks (after minimal training on our library platforms/services), we'd love to have you sign up as a volunteer. Before a first shift, volunteers must complete a Release of Liability form (once per year) for the County. Copies are available at each library service desk; fillable forms (aside from signature/date) are also linked below:
