Or mission is to ensure that every baby in New Mexico has a healthy and happy start to life by offering compassionate home visiting, family-centered community and basic needs.
Many Mothers envisions a caring community that nurtures and supports the health, well-being and happiness of all mothers, infants, toddlers and their families.
What We Do
Many Mothers is a local non-profit that pairs caring and committed volunteers with any family in the Santa Fe, Los Alamos or Espanola areas who has recently welcomed a new baby. Our maternal support home visiting program is available to any family with a baby 0-6 months old. Families receive support from their volunteer for 3 hours a week for 12 weeks. We believe that the time right after birth is not only a precious time, but also a very fragile time and that the better a mom or caregiver is taken care of, the better they can take care of a new baby. We rely on the support of volunteers to provide direct, in-home support for moms/caregivers and their newborn babies.
