Rio Arriba Adult Literacy Program

The Rio Arriba Adult Literacy Program (RAALP) provides one-to-one tutoring to help students articulate, work towards, and achieve their individual literacy or English‐language goals.

The Rio Arriba Adult Literacy Program (RAALP) envisions improving the literacy skills of adults in Northern New Mexico so that they can achieve their personal and professional goals. RAALP accomplishes this by providing free, one-on-one tutoring to community members in need, particularly in Basic Literacy and English as a Second Language. Overall, the Rio Arriba Adult Literacy Program is a vital resource for our community, as we offer personalized and comprehensive literacy support to adults. By focusing on individual goals and providing well-trained volunteer tutors, RAALP is contributing to the empowerment and transformation of the lives of our students.
