Volunteer: Front Desk Guest Greeter of PEEC!The Front Desk Docent is the first impression of the nature center! With a warm, professional, and helpful attitude, the front desk volunteer handles visitors’ questions, orients visitors to the exhibits, completes gift shop purchases, and more. The shifts of this position are 2-3 hours and are very customer service-oriented. We require a commitment of at least 4-6 hours per month and encourage a recurring weekly schedule. Some projects include grounds clean up, Wildlife Habitat Area maintenance, help with special events or programs, painting, building, cleaning…a variety of tasks! You never know when we’ll need someone to shovel sand into our new sandbox in the nature play area or help clean up after a big presentation, do some weeding, or collect some natural materials for kids' activity.
