Who We Are

LACDC is a private not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization that has been active in Los Alamos, New Mexico since 1983. Our mission is to build a vibrant community through a thriving economy.

We leverage public and private sector investment to achieve sustainable economic development. We drive economic progress by providing services to businesses using a broad portfolio of programs and initiatives.

The LACDC contains many programs and directives under it including but not limited to- The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet, Discover Los Alamos, NM LEEP, Project Y and Research Park.

What We Do

The LACDC balances sound economic considerations with social and environmental concerns as they serve the business community, create and retain jobs, and diversify the economy.

The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce is the membership program of the Los Alamos CDC. It’s mission is to encourage and assist members in achieving full economic potential.

Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District works to to improve the vitality of downtown utilizing a four point approach: organization, economic positioning, design, and promotion. The districts promote arts and culture as an enhancement to local economies and quality of life.

Discover Los Alamos and Visitor Centers work to welcome visitors to Los Alamos and invite them to enjoy  our ancient ruins, enlightening museums, and high altitude sports.

LACDC operates the Los Alamos Research Park across from the Los Alamos National Laboratory and space in the Small Business Center in central Los Alamos.
