Who We Are
Formed in the summer of 2024, ICOH has grown from 4 to 13 congregations (as of Oct. 2025). Ten are in LA county and 3 are located in Espanola. These varied houses of worship have chosen to work together to promote our shared deeply held spiritual values, including the promotion of greater compassion, justice, and healing in our corner of the world. For us, that means getting people personally involved in helping our neighbors in Espanola Valley. They for years have faced high levels of of homelessness, addiction disorders, and crime in their communities. We strive to be humble and respectful while also being catalysts and advocates for positive changes in Espanola Valley and beyond.
What We Do
After carefully weighing options, we work directly with a variety of frontline partners in Espanola Valley on multiple projects that aim to:
1) prevent homelessness in high risk people and families
2) help those already unhoused
3) expand treatment access for those with addiction disorders
4) encourage the creation of new, local, and very affordable housing
